About Epidemic Games

Epidemic games (or "epigames" for short) use proximity sensing in a gamified mobile app to understand how infectious diseases spread through networks of people. Your voluntary participation is very important to help us advance this research and maybe prevent the next pandemic!

Your mission: Stay healthy and collect points!

How to play the epidemic game:

Install the app and enter using the join code (code will become active near the start date).
During the game period, keep Bluetooth on and the app running (battery use is minimal).
Daily, choose protective actions and earn points based on your decisions.
Watch for notifications if you’ve been near someone “infected.”
Use all available information in the app to make choices, collect points, and stay healthy.
